Have you been waiting for interest rates to come down? Prices to decrease? Unsure whether now is the right time to build a new home? We have been through these economic cycles many times in our 36 years of operation. We have seen the highs and lows. Our best advice? Enter the market when you can afford to do it and if you can afford to build now, don’t wait. Here are our top 3 reasons to act now.

1. Timelines

Building a home is a long-term commitment and you really have to plan ahead. Whether you are looking to move into your new home or have it as an investment, building takes time, and you need to plan for that. How long it takes to build a home really depends on what type of block you have, and whether you want to build two storey or single storey home. Speak to one of our New Home Consultants about current time frames.

2. Pricing challenges continue

A lot of people are feeling the pinch of high inflation at the moment and are holding onto the hope that interest rates will stabilise, and prices will start to go down. Unfortunately, what is not slowing down, is our growing population in Western Australia. We still have many people moving into WA every year keeping the demand for housing high. Our growing population is also driving up the prices and demand for materials and labour. Although we don’t have a crystal ball, it’s because of these external factors that pricing challenges could continue into the future.

3. Don’t miss out!

A lot of people are coming to terms with the rising costs of building and are getting in now to secure their new home build. At Dale Alcock Homes we only have a limited number of builds we take on each month so that we can appropriately manage the volume that is going through our system. Don’t be left behind! Secure a spot on our build list this month.

As you have probably already recognised, with demand has come extensive growth in the value of WA homes in the past couple of years. If you are wanting to build a beautiful new home that you can call your own, consider what it could be worth by the time you move in, if you act today. Don’t leave it too late and regret not jumping in when you could have. Get in touch with one of our New Homes Consultants to get the ball rolling.
