Customer stories: Michael and Helen’s building journey
For the couple, building was simply the better choice, allowing them to choose their home design, customise it to suit their tastes and pick the location of a suitable family home for the future.
“Looking at established homes there were some things we wanted to have that buying established didn’t,” Michael recalls.
“Seeing our house being built from start to finish and watching it evolve through all the stages was very rewarding.”
What was it like to build with Dale Alcock Homes?
“Our experience with Dale Alcock has been fantastic from the moment we walked into the display home to the after-build support,” they said.
“Everyone was always available to help with any questions or concerns that we may have had. The whole journey was exciting and big learning curve learning all the different stages of building.”
“As stressful and daunting building may seem, we found the whole process relatively stress free for building our first home,” they added.
A year on, Michael and Helen are still very much in love with their home. “We love the large open-plan living, dining and kitchen and how it opens out to the alfresco through the stacker doors.”
The sunken home theatre room, spacious master bedroom and ensuite with double shower is also a favourite for the couple.
Michael and Helen’s advice for future home builders?
- Take your time and do your research to make sure the home is a perfect fit for what you want now and in the future.
- Make sure you have a budget and stick to it.
- Ask as many questions as possible.
- Don’t rush through prestart and take lots of photos of your selections, as a lot happens through this process and it’s easy to forget what you have chosen.
- Being at site throughout the build as often as possible is an excellent way to see your dream home come to life.
