Grouped Housing – Navigator Loop, Erskine

Project Overview

Origin Projects and Dale Alcock Projects have delivered a number of homes together at The Retreat in Erskine, Mandurah. The Retreat is a premium over 55’s estate situated metres from the estuary.

Origin Projects worked with an external designer to design 11 units on a grouped housing site that needed to be aesthetically appealing to the local market as well as achieve the target price. During the DA approval process Origin asked DAP to price the development and very quickly it was apparent the design did not reflect the target budget.

The DAP design team quickly redesigned the development to reflect the budget whilst the DA submission was paused. The redesign captured a number of cost saving elements including standardisation of the glazing package, enhancement of the elevations through cladding and contrasting render and reducing the size of some homes incorporating the laundry and bathroom. The Origin Projects team were ecstatic with the design outcome and the target price.

Construction of this project began in late January 2019 and was completed the end of June 2020.

The homes Dale Alcock Projects has delivered in this estate have been sold quickly and continue to receive positive feedback from the residents.
